Hello all!
Well as you can see from the subject line, transfer calls were this week. I'll touch on that more later though.
Last Monday was fun, hah. Well to start our washer was still broken so we had to make other arrangements to wash our laundry, then went off to emails. Our District leader and his comp were there and invited us to play monopoly deal with them and the Zone Leaders as a district. We thought this sounded fun, and they said it'd be at the Stake Center. Specifics are key. We got to the AFTON Stake Center about a half hour early and finished our lunch there. After they were about 5 minutes late we texted asking where they were and they said they were in the gym! We were like "wow we're dumb, they must be on the other side." Well no one was on the other side of the building. Come to find out they were at the THAYNE Stake Center and neglected to tell us that small detail. Still a fun pday though when we finally figured out where to go.
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to continue a discussion class we've been holding the past few weeks(: We teach a few ladies who are coming back to activity the missionary lessons. It's really neat because they totally dive into each lesson and we get through about 2 points of the lesson each time because they ask so many questions and are really discussing it. We started the Plan of Salvation Lesson which was really neat to get to talk about with them.
Wednesday was sort of funny. I decided to fast in the morning and as we went through the day literally everything was cancelling. So my fast wasn't looking too good. Then at about 3pm a less active lady whom I've only ever met once, texts and is like "we made you sisters cookies, where can I meet you to get them to you?" Which is really crazy because as I started my fast I got a few hours in and thought to myself "dang cookies sound so good right now" and then later, they came!!x) And from a lady we hardly knew too!! The evening was crazy after that. We saw tons of people we really needed to see and even came across a less active thats been pushing us away in a time of real need for her and were able to arrange and stay with her as she got a priesthood blessing. Fasting is powerful. That night we had a great Book of Mormon class and when we turned in for the night we watched the Testaments which is a great missionary approved movie(;
I'm gonna skip to Friday, we had District Meeting! Transfer calls were the next day so at the end of the meeting we all made transfer predictions. Our predictions were: Sister Stott, Elder Yates, and Elder Hamblin would all stay in their areas. I would go to Pokey YSA, Elder Hassel would go to Old Town, and Elder De Oliveira would go to Alameda. (I'm including our guesses because most of them were right(; ) That evening though we ate with some members who like to give us weird oriental food to test us and while it was good, my guts hurt so that wasn't fun. In the evening we taught the Howes and had a super fun lesson with them. They were sad to hear transfers would be coming up and don't want either of us to leave. After our lesson I guess the spirit was guiding in strange ways because my guts REALLY hurt so we stopped at the Blackburns to use their bathroom and then had an impromptu correlation in which we discovered we really needed to meet with some people tomorrow. The spirit was leading usx)
There was so much more that happened, but this is already super long so I'll restrain myself. Transfer info tho...Stott, Yates, and Hamblin are all staying as predicted. Hassel is going to a Pocatello YSA area, which covers Old Town, so we got that one. De Oliveira is going to American Falls, which was thrown out as we were guessing, but we determined Alameda so we were wrong. And last but not least....I will be headed to the other Pocatello YSA area!! So we got that one too! I'll be whitewashing in with Sister Ziegler, (meaning we'll both be new to the area) and I'll be a Sister Training Leader! Crazy to think, I'm nervous but excited(:
Anyways, I love you all I hope you have a great week!!!
Love,
Sister Jensen
