So my week!
Lets see, we got to teach Nathaniel again this week, he was a little bit more distracted when we taught him because he left his homework at school and was trying to figure out through a friend how to get it homex) It was a good lesson though, he's doing really well and seems to be taking in what we're teaching him well(:
We finally got to meet again with a recent convert family we were teaching!! That was straight craziness. We confirmed our appointment with them earlier in the day and they said it'll still work for them to meet. Holy heck though, they should've said come another nightx) A friend was over so most of the kids were distracted, then these people came to deliver some beds and mattresses they had bought...oh my heck it was chaos. We mostly taught their oldest, Jayton. He's such a good kid and stayed through the whole lesson. At one point I read a poem, (this was when the beds started coming in) and idk how much he really heard, but at the end he was like "that was a really good poem, i really liked it!" and idk if he was just being polite or if he really listened through it, but i appreciated itx)
On Thursday Sister Stott and I got frustrated with our newfound devices. We discovered that we will no longer be getting paper planners and have to plan everything out...in our phones. Neither of us are fans of this, but we'll adjust. Also on the subject of devices, Our mission is about to be on Facebook! We'll get more info in the coming weeks, but as of right now, we've been told to go through our Facebook accounts and make sure they are missionary appropriate! You'll see me on soon!
On Friday this week Sister Stott and I got a call from one of the Grover bishopric...and were asked to give talks because those assigned were sick or out of townx) So that was great. On Saturday we got another important phone call....TRANSFER CALLS!
Plot twist, Sister Jensen will continue to serve on Star Valley and by the end of this next transfer, will have spent six and a half months here!!! Craziness, but i'm okay with itx)
Saturday evening we met with Amanda, our investigator on date for baptism(: She's doing really well! We talked about the first half of the restoration and mostly focused on explaining priesthood and prophets to her. She's on date for March 31st, and so far things are looking good so we'll see what happens!(:
After we got home that evening Sister Stott and I sat down and wrote our talks. I felt alright about mine, but not fantastic...but i felt like i needed to walk away from it and look at it in the morning. In the morning we basically alternated from ward council to sacrament meeting and in between all that I completely rewrote my talk. I felt much better about it and both Sister Stott and I were able to give our talks, fill the time needed, and feel good about them afterwards. The spirit will speak to you if you're listening and that's something I've definitely learned while being out(:
I love you all, I hope you all had fantastic weeks!
Love,
Sister Jensen
